CDC updated data shows 94% of deaths had other conditions in addition to COVID-19.
The United States passed another milestone earlier this week as 6 million Americans have now tested positive for COVID-19. Cases are slowing down across the United States with notable exceptions in midwest states. Over the last fourteen days there has been 18% fewer new cases across the country.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently updated the fatality data to reflect that only 6% of those who have died with the virus had no other health condition recorded. While over 183,000 people have died with the virus, 94% are now shown to have had co-morbidities. President Trump responded to this information by saying that the U.S. shut down “the entire economy based on 9,000 American deaths to the China coronavirus.”
